Our Mission
Here at Horizon Kids, our mission is to provide safe, interactive, relational, and spiritually formative programs for kids and families to develop and deepen their understanding and relationship with God by connecting them with Jesus, the Bible, and the church family.
Your First Visit
Here's what to expect when visiting Horizon Kids for the first time:
Head to the Kid's building where we will meet your family, check your child into our system, and then one of our volunteers will lead your child to their age-appropriate room.
Upon checking in for the first time, we will ask for the following personal information (NOTE: We value your privacy and will not share this information with anyone):
-
Parent/guardian name(s)
-
Child's name
-
Child's birth date
-
Home address
-
Phone number
-
Any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your children

On Sunday mornings, all children enjoy the first part of the service with their families for the first two songs and liturgical element. Afterward, they are invited to attend the class for their age group (see below). The older elementary will come back to their parents during the eucharist while the younger kids will be picked up in the appropriate rooms.
We have a wonderful group of background checked volunteers that are excited each week to spend time with our Horizon kids. Just as Jesus used everyday objects to teach eternal truths, our classes use hands-on teachings, so kids understand, love, and remember God's Word. Our kids don’t just hear God’s Word; we want them to experience it! Kids will have the opportunity to choose between two different hands on activities - either a game or a craft. Both are designed to reinforce the teaching. We will do the same craft and game for a month, so the kids will be able to do any craft or game multiple times, and if they miss a week they can still do the fun activities.

Here's how we break down our classes:

-
Nursery: 0 - 2 years
-
Preschool & Early Elementary: 3 yrs - 1st Grade
-
Older Elementary: 2nd - 5th grade

We work hard to provide an environment for spiritual growth in a context of healthy, positive relationships with adults. Please click below to visit our children/youth safety protocol page to see how we keep our kids safe!
